Materials Recycling of Orlando produces custom and designer colored wood mulches, as well as wood compost and screened top soil for use as soil amendments and fuel. Our products are made from 100% recycled wood, and meet industry standards for safety and environmentally sound practices. Our recycled materials are cost-effective alternatives when used in decorative landscaping projects, or as amendments to enrich soil, control erosion, and improve drainage for larger agricultural and land reclamation projects. In most cases, our recycled products have comparable or superior characteristics when compared to products made from virgin pine bark or cypress.Our goal is to promote sustainable and renewable environmental practices throughout the global community. In 1999, Materials Recycling of Orlando received a grant from the Florida Energy Office for our renewable energy business model. Since this time, we have formed strategic alliances within the agricultural, industrial, and business communities . This business model includes the wood-fired production of steam and power, and more recently, the synthesis of liquid fuels -- such as biodiesel, ethanol, and butanol. Our goals involve working toward a greener, healthier America that is energy-independent.
